BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE

(Ashbury Meadow, School of the Resurrection and St. Brigid’s Primary school)

Children in our before school session have breakfast and are dropped off in school. These sessions are meant to help parents who have an early start to their day. Children in the after school session are picked up from their various schools by a member of staff. They are given light healthy sandwiches, snacks and fruit after which they engage in their homework, reading and games.

FREE FUNDED HOURS

We understand that covering the cost of childcare can be overwhelming that is why we participate in the free government funding for children with working parents. Many working parents of 3 and 4 Year olds can be eligible for 30 hours funded childcare. You and your partner will need to earn not more than £100,000 a year or at least work 16 Hours a week. You can claim 30 hours from the start of the term after your child turns 3. We also offer the 15 hours for some 2-year olds and this can be claimed from the term after your child turns 2. To cover the additional cost of providing snacks, drinks and other consumables, as well as any additional activities, we charge a small fee of £0.75 for each hour of free childcare.

The equivalent additional fee for a child benefiting from 30 hours of free childcare would be £22.50 per week. The offer of a government-subsidised place at our setting is not dependent on paying this additional fee and you may prefer to supply your own meals, snacks and drinks. The scheme runs for 38 weeks term time only but if you need it for longer, you can talk to us about it.
